Report: Jon Bon Jovi No Longer Part Of The Toronto Group Bidding On Bills

 

Josh Kosman of the New York Post reports that Jon Bon Jovi is no longer part of the Toronto based group bidding on the Buffalo Bills.

According to Kosman, the remaining members of the group — Larry Tanenbaum and Edward Rogers — believe they are in a stronger position to win the auction without Bon Jovi involved in the process.

Based on the previous structure, Bon Jovi would have been the principal owner of the team had they won the auction for the franchise. There offer reportedly topped out at $1.1 billion, which is much higher than what previous reports had suggested.

There has been a lot of backlash regarding the Toronto group given that many expect them to consider relocating the team to Canada. Removing Bon Jovi probably helps to some degree, but it’s doubtful that this will put people’s concerns to rest.

Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula is still involved in the process and is widely considered to be the favorite to purchase the Bills. Although, Donald Trump remains in the mix as well.
