Report: Jon Gruden Not Interested In Coaching Jobs

ESPN Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden told the St. Paul Pioneer Press that he has no interest in returning the NFL as a head coach.

I don’t want to be considered for any of these jobs,” said Gruden. “I don’t want to be considered for anything. There are plenty of good candidates out there…

Gruden continues to be a hot name each and every offseason, but there never appears to be much, if any, traction towards him accepting a job. Recent rumors suggested that he could be an option for the Raiders should they part ways with current HC Dennis Allen, but it looks like there is an actual shot of Allen returning in 2014.

Gruden, 50, has a 95-81 record in 11 years as an NFL head coach. He has been the analyst for ESPN since 2009.
