- Kimberly Jones reports that Freeman is arriving in New York Monday.
- Caplan adds that the Giants would like to sign a veteran quarterback before training camp.
- Mike Freeman of the Bleacher Report first reported that Freeman was set to work out for the Giants at some point this week.
Freeman, 26, has found very little interest as a free agent. He reportedly visited with the Bears, who happen to be in need of a backup quarterback now that Josh McCown has signed with the Buccaneers.
There hasn’t been much buzz regarding an offer from Chicago, so it appears as though they intend to see what happens in the draft before revisiting the idea.
Last year, Freeman appeared in just four games and 42.9 percent of his passes for 761 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.
