Report: La’el Collins Visiting With Dolphins In Next 24 Hours

Baton Rouge sportscaster Michael Cauble reports that LSU OL La’el Collins and his agent are flying to meet with the Dolphins in Miami within the 24 hours.

Yesterday, Ross Dellenger of The Advocate reported that Collins was taking his first visit with an NFL team and traveling to meet with the Cowboys.

This came after the news that recent tests showed that Collins is not the father of Brittney Mills child, who tragically passed away last week.

Chad Sabadie of Fox 8 New Orleans spoke to a source who mentioned that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ told Collins that they want to “assemble the greatest offensive line ever” as part of their pitch to the undrafted free agent.

Reports have said that nearly every team in the NFL has contacted Collins in recent days, and they are currently working through the list of options. In the end, it could come down to whoever offers Collins an opportunity to play offensive tackle, as this would allow him to cash in on a new contract that would include a much higher salary than if he played guard.

The Bills, Buccaneers, Panthers and Giants have also come up as potential options for Collins, but it sounds like this list will only grow in the coming days.
