Eagles ILB DeMeco Ryans “Isn’t Going Anywhere”

According to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Eagles LB DeMeco Ryans “isn’t going anywhere” this offseason.

McLane mentions that this probably doesn’t come as much of a surprise given that Ryans has actually played pretty well for them last season. However, McLane points out that Ryans struggled a bit towards the end of the season and will be 30 years old later this year.

On top of that, Ryans has a $6.8 million base salary for the 2014 season, and McLane writes that is at least a chance that they could approach him regarding a pay cut, even if it’s unlikely to happen.

Ryans, 29, has two years remaining on his six-year, $48 million contract that included $21.75 million guaranteed. He played in all 16 games for the Eagles in 2013 totaling 128 tackles, four sacks and two interceptions. Ryans was rated as the No. 54 inside linebacker in the league, according to Pro Football Focus.
