Report: “At Least” Six Teams Have Reached Out To Free Agent WR Brandon Lloyd

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that a source with knowledge of the discussions has informed him that “at least” six NFL teams have contacted free agent WR Brandon Lloyd about playing playing this season.

  • Florio specifically mentions that Patriots, Jets, and 49ers are among the six NFL teams.

Lloyd has reportedly rejected all interest thus far and has “no interest” in playing this season. Lloyd believes he’s neither physically nor mentally ready to return to the NFL.

Lloyd, 32, was cut loose by the Patriots months ago, and while a number of teams could use help at wide receiver, this is really the first that we’ve heard regarding interest in the 10-year vet.

If Lloyd were to return at some point this season, he would make at least minimum salary of $940,000.
