Report: Lions “Actively Shopping” Their No. 36 Overall Pick

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Detroit Lions are “actively shopping” their No. 36 overall pick.

A recent report from Adam Schefter mentioned that the Jets are looking to trade up from No. 39 with the intention of taking one of the available quarterbacks, so it seems reasonable that Detroit could find some interest. Oakland, who has the No. 42 pick, is reportedly considering a quarterback as well, but it’s unlikely that they would move up given that they could really use as many picks as possible this year.

Geno Smith, Ryan Nassib and Matt Barkley are all still available, which should make for a very compelling second-round.

We have the Lions taking OT Menelik Watson out of Florida State in our recently updated Second-Round Mock Draft.
