Report: Lions Agree To Terms With S Louis Delmas

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Detroit Lions have reached an agreement with free agent S Louis Delmas on a two-year deal. PFT adds that Delmas will receive $9.465 million over two-years.

The team has since confirmed the agreement.

A previous report indicated that he was close to signing with the 49ers before it was later refuted.

Detroit has already added S Glover Quin to their secondary, as well as brought back CB Chris Houston, so they’re clearly focused on ensuring stability in the backend of their defense. Opposing teams have been able to routinely move the ball through the air against the Lions, so hopefully this will allow them shore things up in the coming years.

We had Delmas listed as the No. 15 best available player in our recently updated Top 50 Free Agents list.
