Report: Multiple Teams Have Kevin Johnson Rated As Top Cornerback

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that multiple teams have Wake Forest CB Kevin Johnson rated as the top cornerback on their draft boards.

For months now, Michigan State CB Trae Waynes has been considered to the best corner in this year’s draft class. However, there has been a great deal of buzz surrounding Johnson in recent weeks.

Cornerbacks could being coming off the board as high as No. 7 overall to the Bears. Although, many predicted that the Vikings will be the first team to take a cornerback at No. 11 overall. Beyond Minnesota, the Saints, Dolphins, Texans, Chiefs, Eagles, Steelers, Lions, and Ravens could all consider a taking a cornerback in round one.

During his four years at Wake Forest, Johnson recorded 189 tackle, a half sack, seven interceptions, three forced fumbles and 38 pass defenses.

We have the Ravens taking Johnson at No. 26 overall in our recently updated two-round NFL Mock Draft, but it appears as though he could go much higher than that.
