Report: Not A Lot Of Interest In Titans WR Kenny Britt

Titan’s Insider Terry McCormick reports that sources have informed him that WR Kenny Britt may be unlikely to be traded before tomorrow’s deadline.

  • According to McCormick, “there may not be much of a market for because of his struggles.”

Britt. 25, is in the midst of a terrible season for the Titans, which has resulted in just seven receptions for 59 yards this season. On top of that, Britt will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. Add in the off-the-field issues and some serious injuries and you can see why teams are not lining up to trade for him.

Britt mentioned that the trade rumors aren’t effecting him and he would be open to a new opportunity if presented to him.

“Do I expect to be here? I don’t know what my future is. If I’m here, that’ll be great. If I’m not, it would be a fresh start. Right now, my mind is if I’m here, I am,” Britt said.

“No, not at all. The game is about business and if they feel I’m not getting the job done, it’s up to them to keep me or not,” Britt said. “But I’m grateful for the opportunity they gave me to be here. Hopefully, I’m not going anywhere because I would love to stay here.”

If the Titans are able to get even a conditional late-round pick for him, they would have to consider accepting it. Even as a free agent, it’s unlikely that Britt will have a number of suitors.
