Report: Panthers Sign S Roman Harper

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Panthers have reached agreement with former Saints S Roman Harper on a  two-year deal.

  • Schefter adds that Harper’s two-year deal is worth $4.5 million and includes a $1.5 million signing bonus.

Harper, 31, was a former second-round pick of the Saints before he was cut loose earlier this week. Harper totaled 39 tackles, one interception and a fumble recovery in nine games for the Saints this season.

However, Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 54 safety in the league this past season.
