Panthers Sign TE Ed Dickson

Update:

———-

Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Panthers have signed former Ravens TE Ed Dickson to a one-year contract on Thursday.

  • Joe Person reports that Dickson will receive a veterans minimum salary of $730,000 and a $65,000 signing bonus.

Dickson, 26, reportedly had offers from the Ravens and Jaguars, but recent reports indicated that he was likely to sign with the Panthers, so this doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

Dickson appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and totaled 25 receptions for 273 yards receiving and a touchdown. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the worst qualifying tight end in the league this past season.

We had Dickson listed as the No. 21 player in our Best Available Free Agents list.
