Report: Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski Is A “50-50” To Play In Week 1

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, citing a source with knowledge of the situation, reports that Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski is a “50-50” to play in Week 1.

Gronkowski is coming off of a torn ACL that he suffered towards the end of the 2013 regular season. Before that, Gronkowski suffered a broken arm that later got infected and wound up costing him the first seven games of the 2013 season.

It’s hard to argue if the Patriots elect to play things safe with Gronkowski as he’s clearly an important of their offensive attack.

We’ll obviously have more updates regarding Gronkowski’s status in the coming weeks.
