Report: Patriots Unlikely To Have CB Aqib Talib Available On Sunday

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that a league source has informed him that Patriots  CB Aqib Talib is unlikely to play against the Jets this weekend.

  • Florio adds that it appears as though Talib will miss at least one week.

Talib suffered a hip flexor strain during Week Six game against the Saints. Talib has been unable to practice throughout the week, so this news doesn’t come as a huge surprise.

The Patriots are already without NT Vince Wilfork and LB Jerod Mayo who are both done for the season. Not having Talib, who has been incredible for them this season, could leave the Patriots defense in a tough position when they travel to New York.

We have Talib listed as the No. 10 player in our Top 50 – 2014 Free Agents list.
