Report: Brandon Jacobs Likely Out, Peyton Hillis Expected To Be “Primary Ball Carrier”

Dan Graziano of ESPN New York reports that the Giants will likely be without RB Brandon Jacobs for Monday night’s game against the Vikings.

Graziano expected newly signed RB Peyton Hillis to be their “primary ball carrier” this evening.

Jacobs is listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury he suffered during last week’s game against the Bears.

New York also has rookie RB Michael Cox available as well, but he has yet to receive a single carry this season. The Giants could always look to get FB John Conner involved to some degree if needed, but that’s probably not their optimal situation.

Expect a pass-heavy attack from Eli Manning against a Vikings’ defense that ranks No. 30 at defending the pass.
