Report: Peyton Manning Gets Full Clearance For Next Season

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that Broncos QB Peyton Manning passed his physical examination Monday morning and is fully cleared to play next season.

Manning’s contract includes a provision that requires him to pass a medical inspection at the end of each season. Manning had undergone numerous neck surgeries before signing with the Broncos, so it was probably a smart move for them to add this to his five-year, $96 million contract to offer the team some protection in the event that something were to happen with his condition.

Manning, 37, put together the best season of his NFL career in 2013, which included career highs in passing yards (5,477) and touchdowns (55).

Denver has some tough decisions to make this offseason, so they will be one of the more interesting teams to watch in the coming weeks.
