Report: Raiders CB D.J. Hayden Could Open Camp On PUP List

John Middlekauff of 957 The Game is reporting that Raiders CB D.J. Hayden still is not healthy, and could end up on the team’s physically unable to perform list.

  • Middlekauff adds that even if Hayden isn’t placed on the active/PUP list, it’s unlikely that he’ll be a full participant in training camp.

The former first-round pick was expected to be ready in time for this year’s training camp given that he had the boot removed from his injured foot back in early June.

However, it appears as though he is not 100 percent healed from the ankle injury he sustained during OTAs.

If Hayden is out of the lineup, the Raiders have Carlos Rogers and Tarell Brown as their likely starters.

Last year, Hayden was limited to appearing in just eight games in which he recorded 26 tackles, an interception, two pass defenses and a forced fumble.
