Report: Raiders “Hope” To Trade QB Terrelle Pryor Before Monday

Pro Football Talk, citing a league source, is reporting that the Raiders “hope” to trade QB Terrelle Pryor before the beginning of the offseason program on Monday.

It’s not a secret that the Raiders have been looking to trade Pryor, but the timeline is noteworthy.  It should also be noted that Pryor is only owed $705,000 for next season, which could make him a slightly more attractive option to teams.

Oakland traded for QB Matt Schaub, and appear committed to QB Matt McGloin as their primary backup.  They could still use an early pick in the draft on a QB as well.  They hold the No.5 pick in the first round.

If the Raiders are unable to trade Pryor, it is likely that he would be released in April, as GM Reggie McKenzie has not made it sound as though Pryor is in the team’s plans.

Last year, Pryor appeared in 11 games, registering 1,798 yards, with 7 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
