Report: Raiders Safety Tyvon Branch Out Indefinitely with Injury

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter via Twitter, the Raiders are reporting safety Tyvon Branch suffered a “significant” injury in Sunday’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Additionally, it’s believed the serious injury is a fractured fibula, which could take up to two months to heal.

“That looks to be a significant injury,”  Oakland head coach Dennis Allen said postgame. “We’ll find out more later.”

The 26-year-old is a big playmaker for the Raiders defense. Without their 2008 fourth-rounder, the Raiders will need players like Usama Young to step up and fill his role while he recovers.
