Contract Details for Raiders, OL Donald Penn Deal

Update:

NFL Network is reporting that the Redskins signed OT Donald Penn to a two-year, $9.6 million deal, including $4.2 million guaranteed, via USA Today.

Albert Breer reports that the Raiders have agreed to terms with LT Donald Penn on a contract.

  • Ian Rapoport reported that the two sides were closing in on a deal with the Raiders.

The Washington Redskins showed interest in Penn as well, but the opportunity to play left tackle was reportedly appealing to Penn.

Penn, 30, was cut loose by the Buccaneers after they signed Anthony Collins last week. He’s clearly the best available left tackle, which happens to be the biggest need for the cap-rich Raiders.

Pro Football Focus has Penn rated as the No. 30 offensive tackle in the league last season. We had  Penn listed as the No. 6 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
