Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders have reached an agreement with veteran WR James Jones.
- Schefter adds that Jones receives a three-year contract worth $11.3 million.
It was somewhat surprising to see how little buzz Jones had been generating, despite some teams being in need of help at receiver. The Panthers seemed like a good fit Jones, who said that he would love to play for them, but they are apparently still shopping for even better at this point in the offseason.
Jones, 29, was able to produce a staggering 14 touchdowns two years ago. In 2013, Jones caught 59 passes for 817 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Pro Football Focus had Jones rated as the No. 55 receiver in the league last year. We had Jones listed as the No. 16 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
