Pro Football Talk, citing a league source, reports that the Oakland Raiders have traded QB Terrelle Pryor to the Seahawks.

  • ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders will receive a seventh-round pick from the Seahawks in return for Pryor.
  • Pro Football Talk reports that the 49ers were the other team with interest in Pryor, but the Seahawks ultimately won out.

Seattle is parting with the last tradeable pick in the draft for Pryor, which illustrates his value to teams around the league.

Reports from over the weekend mentioned that Pryor was expected to be released if the Raiders were unable to find a trade partner.

The Seahawks have said in the past that they would like to find a backup quarterback with a similar skill set to that of Russell Wilson, and Pryor can offer them that much.

This is interesting given that the Seahawks re-signed veteran Tarvaris Jackson to a one-year contract worth $1.25 million, which includes $1.1 million guaranteed, according to OverTheCap.com.

Pryor, 24, has one year remaining on his rookie and is set to make $705,000 for the 2014 season.

Last year, Pryor appeared in 11 games and completed 57.4 percent of his passes for 1,798 yards, seven touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
