Report: Battle Shaping Up Between Giants & Rams For G Geoff Schwartz

Michael Silver of NFL.com reports that a battle is shaping up between the Rams and Giants are free agent G Geoff Schwartz.

Schwartz, 27, signed a one-year deal worth $630,000 with the Chiefs last year. He would go on to appear in all 16 games and grade out as the No. 8 guard in the league this past season, according to Pro Football Focus.

Connor Orr reports that the Giants are one of three teams in the mix for free agent G Geoff Schwartz.

The Rams reportedly have interest in Schwartz as well.

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Dispatch, citing league sources, reports that the Rams are “showing interest” in Chiefs G Geoff Schwartz now that Rodger Saffold is likely to be playing elsewhere next season.

The Chiefs are believed to have interest in retaining Schwartz, but it seems more likely that he will be playing for another team at the start of the 2014 season.
