ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Rams have signed Pro Bowl DE Robert Quinn to a four-year, $66.575 million extension.

  • Schefter adds that the deal includes $41.2 million guaranteed and will keep him under team control through the 2019 season.
  • This extension is on top of the two remaining years on his current contract, according to Jason La Canfora.

Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports reported late last night that there was “growing optimism” within Quinn’s camp that a long-term deal with the Rams could get done before Week 3, which obviously proved to be true.

Quinn was reportedly targeting $15 million per year in a new contract.

St. Louis picked up Quinn’s fifth-year option that will run them $6.9 million for the 2015 season.

Quinn, 24, is coming off of an extremely impressive season in which he totaled 57 tackles, 19 sacks, seven forced fumbles, two recoveries and a defensive touchdown. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 1 defensive end in a 3-4 system by a huge margin.

We’ll have the full contract breakdown as the details are available.
