Report: Colts & Ravens Among Teams Who Have Been In Contact With C Alex Mack

Update:

Ian Rapoport report that the Colts and Ravens are two of the four teams who have been in contact with Browns C Alex Mack.

  • Rapoport adds that there is “varying levels” of interest between these four teams.
  • They are reportedly waiting for free agency to die down.
  • Mike Garafolo previously reported that NFL teams had contacted Mack, but no visits have been scheduled so far.

The Cleveland Browns officially placed their transition tag a few weeks on Mack before deadline.

The transition tag gives the Browns the ability to match an offer Mack receives on the open market, but wouldn’t receive any compensation if they were to decline to match an offer.

Mack would make a one-year salary of $10.3 million fully guaranteed by signing the tender, however, it sounds like he is looking forward to speaking to other teams regarding a long-term deal.
