Report: Former Texans TE Owen Daniels Visiting With Redskins

Update:

Adam Caplan reports that former Texans TE Owen Daniels will be visiting with Redskins next..

Daniels recently visited with the Packers, but they elected to re-sign Andrew Quarless instead.

Daniels, 31, appeared five games and caught 24 receptions for 252 yards and three touchdowns. he his season was limited due to injuries, but he could have a decent market given that there is not a lot of depth at the tight end position.

Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the former Texans TE Owen Daniels will be visiting with Packers.

  • Aaron Wilson previously reported that the Ravens will “evaluate” recently released TE Owen Daniels
  • Wilson adds that Daniels could potentially be a good fit for the Ravens, but expects a market to develop for him in the coming days.

The Packers really make a lot of sense for Daniels who attended school at the University of Wisconsin.

Green Bay could lose Jermichael Finley and Andrew Quarless in free agency, and Daniels represents one of the best available tight ends in the free agent market.
