Report: Ravens Have Interest In Re-Signing WR Jacoby Jones

According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, league sources have informed him that the Ravens are interested in possibly re-signing free agent WR Jacoby Jones, “depending upon his salary demands.

Wilson mentions that signing Jones before free agency is underway in March is “regarded as unlikely” and “nothing is imminent” at this point in time.

Jones made a total of $4 million in 2013, which according to Wilson, would make him an “unaffordable luxury item” for the Ravens given their current cap situation.

Jones, 29, has had a huge impact for the Ravens special teams since coming over from the Texans. However, as a receiver, Jones still hasn’t developed into a solid No. 2 option.

In 2013, Jones caught 37 passes for 455 yards and two touchdowns over the course of 12 games.

It appears as though Jones will be free to shop around to see what the market holds for him, but there is at least a chance he could be back in Baltimore next year.

We have him listed as the No. 80 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
