Report: Ravens Tried Out CB Champ Bailey

Field Yates of ESPN is reporting that the Baltimore Ravens brought in veteran CB Champ Bailey for a tryout on Tuesday.

The Ravens were clearly looking for help at the cornerback position this week as they wound up signing veteran CB Dominique Franks to a contract. With this in mind, it appears unlikely that Bailey will be signed in the coming days, barring an injury to one of their cornerbacks.

Bailey, 36, worked out for the Lions close to a month ago, but there has been no movement towards him possibly joining their team since the visit.

Bailey signed a two-year contract with New Orleans earlier in the offseason. However, he was unable to make the Saints’ 53-man roster and was released before the start of the 2014 season.

Last year, he appeared in just five games last year due to a foot injury and recorded 14 tackles to go along with three passes defensed.
