Report: Redskins Release OL Mike McGlynn

John Keim of ESPN.com, citing a league source, reports that the Redskins have released OL Mike McGlynn ahead of today’s deadline to cut rosters to 75 players.

Washington signed McGlynn to a two-year contract worth $2.7 million back in late March. He was set to make a base salary of $925,000 for the 2014 season to go along with a $100,000 roster bonus.

McGlynn, 29, started 14 games for the Colts last season. However, Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 73 guard out of 81 qualifying players last season. McGlynn really struggled at both pass and run-protection.
