Report: Rob Gronkowski Could Be Back For The Start Of The 2014 Season

Albert Breer of the NFL Network reports that Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski will wait “about two weeks” for the swelling in his knee to subside before undergoing surgery to repair his torn ACL.

Breer adds that Gronkowski has been told that he should be back in time for the start of 2014 season.

While this is obviously encouraging news for the Patriots, it’s hard to predict how a player will recover from a serious knee injury. Not everyone comes back like Adrian Peterson did in 2012, so there will be a lot of updates throughout the offseason regarding his overall progress.
