Dolphins Reach An Agreement With Rookie QB Ryan Tannehill

The Miami Dolphins have finally reached an agreement with first-round pick QB Ryan Tannehill on a four-year contract worth $12.69 million, with a $7.65 million signing bonus.. The Dolphins will have a team option for a fifth-year, according to Pro Football Talk.

Tannehill was reportedly unwilling to miss any more of training camp, but the Dolphins still made some concessions in this deal, such as the offset language.

A source with the Miami Dolphins has reported to the Miami Herald that Dolphins’ Quarterback Ryan Tannehill is still in the mix for the starting job. Tannehil was selected 8th overall by the Miami Dolphins.

There is much speculation that suggests that Tannehill was simply a “project” for development until recently. A source from the Dolphins’ camp has said that they want Tannehill signed as soon as possible, so that he will not fall too far behind veterans.

Tannehill must compete with David Garrard and Matt Moore, who are simply ushers for the quarterback of the future that the Dolphins are looking for. Tannehill is expected to live up to that name.
