Saints OLB Junior Galette Denies Report That He’s Agreed To A Contract Extension

Junior Galette‘s agent has also denied the report of an extension with the Saints.

Saints OLB Junior Galette has denied the previous report that he has reached an extension with the Saints.

  • “Rumors. I haven’t agreed to anything,” Galette texted Larry Holder of the Times-Picayune.
  • Galette also texted Holder; “Trust me I’m more shocked den u r” regarding his reported extension.

Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports is reporting that the Saints and OLB Junior Galette have reached an agreement in principle on a contract extension.

Galette, 26, was entering the second year of his three-year, $6.3 million contract that included $3.5 million guaranteed. He has a base salary of $1.4 million coming his way over the next two years.

Last season, Galette appeared in all 16 games and recorded 40 tackles, 12 sacks, a forced fumble and two recoveries.

Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 12 outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense last year.
