Report: Seahawks Hire Former Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland As Draft Consultant

Alex Marvez of Fox Sports reports that the Seattle Seahawks have hired former Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland as a pre-draft consultant.

Marvez adds that the two sides are expected to discuss a possible full-time position following the draft.

It’s interesting given that Seahawks personnel executive Scot McCloughan resigned from the team earlier in the week to tend to a family matter.

Ireland was a widely criticized general manager during his time in Miami, but several people have gone on to excel at different positions, so we’ll have to see if he ends up joining the Seahawks full-time in the coming months.
