Report: Seahawks Prepared To Offer DE Red Bryant A Contract

Pro Football Weekly reports that the Seattle Seahawks are ready to extend DE Red Bryant a contract similar to the one they gave to DT  Brandon Mebane last year.

Last year, Mebane signed a five-year deal worth $25 million and includes $9 million in guarantees. That should be a fairly competitive offer for Bryant and his representation to consider.

Bryant, 27, has said that he would like to re-sign with the team so there’s a good chance that he take the deal assuming that this report proves to be accurate.

We have Bryant listed as the #41 best available free agent in our recently updated Top 50 Free Agents list.

  1. It would be foolish to let him go if we can sign him at a fair price. We can save some money if we keep T-Jack and use some cash and go after Mario Williams.
