Report: Seahawks Tender S Jeron Johnson At Second-Round Level

Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports reports that the Seahawks placed a second-round tender on restricted free agent S Jeron Johnson.

  • Garafolo adds that Johnson could draw interest from other teams in free agency, despite his restricted tender.

Johnson, 25,will now make $2.187 million, assuming that another team doesn’t try to sign him away from the Seahawhs. Any interested team would have to be willing to part with a second-round pick if they were to sign Johnson to an offer sheet and Seattle elected not to match the offer.

Last year, six tackles over the course of seven games, but was a large contributor on special teams.
