Report: Several NFL Teams Targeting Penn State HC Bill O’Brien

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports NFL and college sources have informed him that that the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles and the San Diego Chargers are all targeting Penn State head coach Bill O’Brien.

La Canfora adds these teams will begin their pursuit of  O’Brien sometime this week.

O’Brien took over a reeling Penn State program last year, but was apparently under the assumption that the program wouldn’t be hindered in any way by NCAA sanctions. That obviously was not the case and they could be in danger of losing him to the NFL. O’Brien is widely respected for his work as the Patriots offensive coordinator in 2011 and appears to be a pretty hot commodity right now.
