ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Bills have officially re-signed WR Stevie Johnson to a five-year deal that will pay him a total of $36.25 million.
Johnson’s deal includes $19.5 million guarantees and is structure to pay him $24 million in the first three years of his contract. The total comes in a little below Johnson reported asking price of $8 million per season but the Bills will have him under contract for the better part of his prime.
Previous reports have indicated that the two sides have been close to an agreement and also added that Buffalo did increase their offer in recent weeks. Johnson is said to be looking for a deal that would pay him a base salary of $8 million per season.
