- Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network mentioned earlier in the week that the Buccaneers were believed to have interest in Hatcher, so they could be someone to keep an eye on.
Hatcher made it clear a few months ago that he is going to be looking for a very competitive offer this offseason.
“I’m going to get what I deserve and get what I’m worth,” Hatcher stated back in December. “Age don’t matter. Whatever. If you ain’t talking what I want, I don’t want to talk to ‘em.”
Hatcher, 31, is expecting a sizable payday this offseason after a breakout season in 2013. Hatcher totaled 41 tackles, 11 sacks and two forced fumbles last year.
He was rated as the No. 8 defensive tackle in the league this past season, according to Pro Football Focus.
We have him listed as the No. 18 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
