Report: Teddy Bridgewater To Enter The 2014 NFL Draft

Brett McMurphy of ESPN reports that Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater has decided to forgo his senior season and enter the 2014 NFL Draft.

Bridgewater has been the consensus No. 1 prospect for awhile now, so it’s not all that shocking to see him depart for the NFL. There are a number of teams drafting in the Top-10 next year that could use a quarterback, which means Bridgewater is in a great position to be one of the first names called next May.

The Houston Texans have the No. 1 overall pick and have a huge need at quarterback. Bill O’Brien has just accepted the job as their head coach and has spent time as a quarterbacks coach for the Patriots, so he would be a great mentor for Bridgewater should they elect to draft him.
