Texans Place S Danieal Manning On Season-Ending IR

Update:

Tania Ganguli reports that the Texans have placed S Danieal Manning on season-ending injured reserve with fractured fibula.

The Texans secondary has already been somewhat suspect this year, so it won’t be easy to lose another starter, especially when things are starting to spiral out of control.

Jerome Solomon of the Houston Chronicle reports that Texans S Danieal Manning is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a hairline fracture to his fibula.

  • Solomon adds that Manning’s injury will is likely to need surgery as well.

Manning was forced to leave during the third quarter of Sunday’s 38-13 loss to the Rams. Initially, Manning’s injury was believed to be a knee hyperextension, but an MRI Monday showed damage to his fibula.
