Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com reports that Texans S Danieal Manning has agreed to a restructure his contract in order to be back with the team next season.

There has been talk that Manning could be a salary cap casualty for a few months now, so this move doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

Manning, 31, signed a four-year, $20 million contract that included $9 million guaranteed with the Texans back in 2011. He had one year remaining on his contract worth $4.5 million and would have counted $6 million against the team’s 2014 salary cap.

Last year, Manning suffered a hairline fracture of his right fibula and was limited to appearing in just six games.
