Report: Texans & Vikings Have Reached Out To Bill O’Brien Regarding Their HC Job

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that multiple sources have informed him that the Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings have already reached out to Penn State HC Bill O’Brien regarding their head coaching jobs.

According to La Canfora, his buyout with the university is “less financially restrictive” than it was previously, which means his name could be connected to other jobs as well in the coming weeks.

In 2014,  O’Brien’s buyout drops from $7.73 million to $3.41 million, which is clearly a much more reasonable figure for interested NFL teams.

La Canfora adds that the Redskins are another team that could target O’Brien as well.
