Report: Titans Are Not Expected To Pick Up Jake Locker’s 2015 Option

Ian Rapoport reports that the Titans not expected to pick up QB Jake Locker‘s 2015 option that would be worth $13 million.

This of course means that Locker will enter the final year of his rookie deal without a commitment from the team beyond 2014.

Rapoport also reported that the Titans have QB Jay Cutler on their radar and that Cutler is believed to have interest in returning to the Nashville area where he played at the University of Vanderbilt.

Locker, 25, has a base salary of just $2.09 million for the 2014 season. He has dealt with his fair share of injuries since entering the NFL, which comes as little surprise given that there were injury concerns surrounding him during the draft process.
