ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting that the Tennessee Titans have elected to fire head coach Mike Munchak.
- Jim Wyatt reports that Munchak was offered an opportunity to return for another season if he agreed to specific conditions.

The Titans GM Ruston Webster released a statement regarding the decision to fire Munchak.
Reports from Friday suggested that Munchak was likely to be brought back next year, despite posting another disappointing season in 2013.
Titans president /CEO Tommy Smith met with Munchak and team GM Ruston Webster in Houston yesterday, but wouldn’t say if changes were coming.
Munchak took over for long-time HC Jeff Fisher who was fired in 2011. In three seasons with the team, Munchak led the Titans to a record of 22-26 (.458). According to ESPN Stats & Info, Munchak has a 2-20 record against teams with a winning record.
