Report: Titans Starting QB Charlie Whitehurst

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Tennessee Titans will in fact be be starting backup QB Charlie Whitehurst against the Colts this afternoon.

• Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network confirms that “barring a surprising improvement,” Jake Locker will be held out of Week 4’s match up.

Reports throughout the week mentioned that Locker was unlikely to play this week after he suffered a wrist injury during Week 3’s loss to the Bengals. Locker has barely practiced this week, so this news shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.

Whitehurst’s last pass attempt in an NFL game came during the 2011 season while playing for the Seattle Seahawks.
