Report: Veteran DT Vaughn Martin Works Out For The Jets & Lions

ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that that veteran DT Vaughn Martin worked for the Jets and Lions in the past two weeks.

Caplan adds that Martin is now fully recovered from his season-ending hernia surgery.

Martin signed a two-year, $4 million contract that included $750,000 guaranteed after spending the first sour years of his career in San Diego.

Martin, 27, was with the Dolphins in 2013 and appeared in two games, making just one tackle. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 33 snaps for Miami.

His best season came in 2011 when played in all 16 games for the Chargers and totaled 47 tackles and a single sack.
