Veteran Kickers Jay Feely & Rian Lindell Working Out For Titans

Update:

Alex Marvez of Fox Sports reports that free agent kicker Rian Lindell is also working out for the Titans on Tuesday.

Lindell, 37, hasn’t found any reported interest as a free agent before this. He appeared in all 16 games for the Buccaneers last season converting 79.3 percent of his field goal attempts and was four of six from 50 yards.

Terry McCormick of 24/7 Sports reports that veteran K Jay Feely is scheduled to visit with the Titans today.

The Titans’ kicking competition between Travis Coons and Maikon Bonani has been ongoing, but it appears as though the team isn’t happy with either player. Tennessee is trying to find a replacement for long-time place kicker Rob Bironas.

Feely, 38, was cut loose by the Cardinals on Monday, so the Titans aren’t wasting any time bringing him in for a workout.

Feely reportedly on the roster bubble for a few weeks before the Cardinals released him due to the fact that he was competing for a roster spot with undrafted free agent Chandler Catanzaro. Feely unfortunately missed a kick during Sunday night’s game, which may have sealed the deal.

Last year, Feely converted 83.3 percent of his field goal attempts and was 3 out of 5 from 50 yards or more.
