Report: Vikings Have Had Some Dialogue With Brandon Fusco Regarding An Extension

Darren Wolfson of ESPN 1500 reports that there has been “a little dialogue” between the Vikings and G Brandon Fusco‘s agents regarding a contract extension.

  • However, Wolfson mentions that “nothing is on the cusp” as of now.

Fusco, 28, is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is set to make $1.389 million for the 2014 season.

The Vikings selected Fusco with the No. 172 overall pick of the 2011 draft and he has gone on to 34 games over the course of three season in Minnesota.

According to Pro Football Focus, Fusco was the No. 8 guard in the league last year out of 81 qualifying players. He was especially solid as a run-blocker for the Vikings, but still had a positive rating in pass-protection based on PFF’s ratings.
