Report: Vincent Brown Working Out For An AFC Team On Monday

ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that free agent WR Vincent Brown has scheduled his first visit for next Monday with an unnamed AFC team.

  • Caplan adds that Brown also has visits scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.

This coincides with a previous report from Caplan in which he mentioned that Brown had “at least” three workouts scheduled for next week. Brown reportedly has interest from as many as eight NFL teams, but we have yet to come across any confirmed teams.

Brown passed through waivers unclaimed earlier this week and reportedly had received interest from multiple teams.

San Diego waived Brown last weekend as they worked to trim their roster down to 53 players. After he cleared waivers, the Chargers placed him on injured reserve and later waived him with an injury settlement.

Brown, 25, is a former third-round pick and is entering the final season of his rookie contract. Last year, Brown appeared in all 16 games for the Chargers and caught 41 passes for 472 yards receiving and one touchdown.

We’ll have updates regarding interested teams as the news is available.
