Ron Burges of the Boston Herald spoke with former Patriots DT Richard Seymour regarding a possible return to New England.
Seymour chuckled and said there’s “no way” he would sign with the Patriots if they were to show interest.
Seymour, 33, mentioned that he’s enjoying his time away from the game and working to earn his pilots licence. He did mention that he could consider a return at some point if a lucrative offer was presented, but Burges believes that’s unlikely to happen.
The Patriots lean towards signing bargain free agents instead of over paying for certain players. Losing Vince Wilfork for the season certainly impacts their defensive line depth, so we’ll have to see if they add someone in the next few days.
